TEWDI Uganda
Local implementing partner
TEWDI Uganda was started in 2009 as a community organization known as Teso Women Development Initiatives (TEWDI) by a group of women concerned about the increasing levels of poverty, limited access to livelihood skills, and human rights violations especially against women and children in rural areas in Uganda. In 2014 Teso Women Development Initiatives (TEWDI) was registered with the National NGO Board, Ministry of Internal Affairs in Uganda and the name was changed to TEWDI Uganda. With headquarters in Soroti, the organization currently implements development programs across Eastern Uganda.
Busitema University
Busitema University is a multi-campus model public university located in the eastern region of Uganda. Busitema focuses on relevant and critical study programs in Engineering, Science Education, Health Sciences, Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Management Sciences and Vocational Education. At the time of establishment, it was envisaged that the University would improve equitable access to university education in the country, since the region did not have a public university.
Amelioration of Agricultural Risks (AMARI)
AMARI is a NGO in Mbale, Uganda, with the mission of improving irrigation practices and soil management in Eastern Uganda.

The National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) is the apex body for guidance and coordination of all agricultural research activities in the national agricultural research system in Uganda.
